Labeling List Changes Effective December 1, 2023

Effective December 1, 2023, we are revising Labeling List(s) L001, L007, L012, L201, L601, L605, and L606 to reflect changes in mail processing operations. Mailers are expected to label according to these revised lists for mailings that are inducted on or after the December 1, 2023, effective date, but no later than January 31, 2024, expiration date. The changes will be published in the Postal Bulletin, Issue #22637.

L007 describes the 5-digit scheme sortation list for automation rate (see 345.7.0 for Standard Mail, 365.7.0 for Bound Printed Matter, and 707.25.0 for Periodicals) and cobundled automation and Presorted rate (see 705.11.0) Periodicals and Standard Mail flat-size pieces and Presorted rate Bound Printed Matter (BPM), Media Mail, and Library Mail flat-size pieces that meet the automation criteria under 301.3.0. The pieces within the scheme bundles are processed in the same operation and therefore are not required to be prepared in individual 5-digit bundles.
