Mailers' Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC)
The Postmaster General's Mailers' Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC) is a venue for the United States Postal Service (Postal Service) to share technical information with mailers, and to receive their advice and recommendations on matters concerning mail-related products and services, in order to enhance customer value and expand the use of these products and services for the mutual benefit of Mailing Industry stakeholders and the Postal Service.
MTAC Quarterly Meetings Information
Attendance Update
Effective immediately, Quarterly MTAC meetings are no longer open to the public. Attendance is now restricted to approved representatives and sponsored participants, in accordance with the updated MTAC Charter.
Eligibility & Attendance Requirements:
Attendance at official MTAC meetings is limited to:
• Authorized Postal Service employees
• Approved MTAC Association Executives and Representatives
• Sponsored Participants (Commercial or Mentee Participants, subject to Executive Committee approval)
Additionally, MTAC Business Meetings are restricted to representatives of MTAC voting Industry Member associations only.
Sponsorship for Non-Members
Non-members may attend certain MTAC activities only if sponsored and approved in advance by the MTAC Executive Committee. Sponsorship categories include:
1. Commercial Participants – Individuals employed by mailing and shipping industry suppliers, vendors, or other stakeholders (e.g., mail service providers, software vendors).
2. Mentee Participants – Individuals participating in a mentorship program with current MTAC members.
Each MTAC member association or Industry Leader may sponsor up to three (3) Commercial Participants per calendar year. Mentee Participants are not subject to this limit.
How to Request Sponsorship
1. Complete the Sponsorship Request Form
2. Submit the form via email to MTAC@USPS.GOV with the subject line: MTAC Sponsorship Request – [Your Name].
3. The MTAC Executive Committee will review the request and the MTAC Program Office will notify the applicant of approval status before the meeting.
