Informed Delivery API (Application Programming Interface)
This page contains information on the ID (Informed Delivery) API, which is an Application Programming Interface available for use by external integrators to communicate with the Informed Delivery application. The ID API provides Mailers and Shippers with the ability to integrate directly with the Informed Delivery application so they can manage interactive Informed Delivery campaigns for both Mail and Packages through their front-end applications.
The Informed Delivery API can be accessed with valid Customer Onboarding Portal (COP) credentials that have been granted access to the ID APIs through an App using oAuth2.0 authentication tokens.
If interested in using the Informed Delivery API, please contact USPSInformedDeliveryAPI@usps.gov to request an onboarding session. Access to the Informed Delivery API will be granted once the onboarding has taken place and testing has been successfully completed in the CAT (Customer Acceptance Testing) environment.
