PCC Academic Leads
Identify known connections with marketing and graphics communications professors. Connections may be through PCC members or their colleagues who are:
- Actively involved alumni of a school and are familiar with the departments
- Recent grads of marketing and Graphic Communications programs
- Lecturers or serve as adjunct professors at local schools
- Employees of Mailing Services department of a local college or university
As contacts are identified and entered into the Academic Lead form, the program office will coordinate how to approach these leads and share the coursework.

Clemson University Academic Outreach Video
In 2018 a trial student contest was initiated at Clemson with graphic communication students. The contest was developed as part a creative inquiry course offering, and included three teams of students who developed multi-channel campaigns for real corporate clients. USPS Printer Directory FAQs
I don't feel comfortable sharing my financial information. How is it securely stored?
USPS® does not save or store any financial information you provide as a part of the Printer Directory application. Your financial information is delivered to us through an encrypted message and deleted once the review process is complete.
How long will it take before my application is approved?
The review and approval process will usually take 2 - 3 weeks. You will receive an email when your application has been reviewed and an approve/reject determination has been reached. If you do not see an email in your inbox, please check your spam folder. You can also check your Business Customer Gateway account periodically as your application status may change.
What do I do if my application is rejected?
Please login to the USPS Business Customer Gateway and navigate to the Printer Directory application landing page. The reason(s) for rejection will be displayed beneath the listing’s status. If you have questions about the reason(s) for rejection, please send an email to printerdirectory@usps.gov.
I don't see my listing on the Printer Directory tool map. Who should I contact?
Please log in to your BCG account to check if your listing’s status is “Active and Online”. If the status is “Active and Online” and you still don’t see your listing, please send an email to printerdirectory@usps.gov.
Can my listing still be part of the Printer Directory if I do not sign the Terms & Conditions?
No. The United States Postal Service® must receive your electronically signed agreement before any listing will be activated.

Being Listed in the USPS Printer Directory
The United States Postal Service® (USPS®) Printer Directory is a national listing of "brick and mortar" printers and mail service providers that print mailpieces according to USPS Domestic Mail Manual (DDM) standards.
General Requirements for participation by vendors:
Each individual store must:

Have a physical brick and mortar retail location that serves customers in person
-
Online-only companies will not be considered
-
-
Have been in business at that location for at least one year
-
Have provided EDDM to customers for at least one year however:
-
If EDDM has been offered for less than one year then proof of performance is required and a scan of an executed Postage Statement from an order entered within the preceding 12 months must be attached to application.

Maintain an active website that contains the following information:

Every Door Direct Mail promotion or reference
-
The address of the physical storefront location
-

Have a unique CRID at the time of registration.

Sign and return a Click-Wrap agreement.

Use mail entry at retail (local Post Office) or BMEU (mail processing facility)

Decisions regarding participation are made in the sole discretion of the Postal Service based on an applicant’s submitted information. Additional supplemental information may be requested in order to finalize a decision. US Postal Service has the exclusive authority to permit or deny participation in this program to any franchisee or entity. The Postal Service reserves all rights to modify or change any content on the printer directory.
Any proprietary information should be properly identified and marked as such. Supplementary financial information, if requested, should be uploaded in the USPS Printer Directory Program Registration App when prompted.
Any information provided in response to this request will not be returned. Any and all responses are voluntary and US Postal Service will not pay for any information submitted in response to this request.
Only electronic submissions will be accepted through the USPS Printer Directory Program Registration App. Uploaded documents should include reference to the "USPS Printer Directory" and submitting organization's name in the subject line. Attachment size should not exceed 3MB and only the following document types will be accepted (.doc, .docx, .pdf).

Academic Outreach Industry Expert Sign-Up
PCCs can enter industry expert contact information here or forward a link to subject matter experts who are interested in speaking to marketing and graphics communications classes. The emphasis in these courses is on presenting students with marketing experts who can share the latest industry knowledge or bring live clients with real marketing scenarios. Speakers included:
- A printer/paper company speaking about neuromarketing
- An advertising agency talking about how direct mail campaigns are created with clients
- A visit to a print facility
- A major printer and tech enabler, speaking about trends and technology in mail
- A digital advertising/tech company, speaking about how they leverage mail to drive better response from digital experiences
- A major printer/data company, speaking about data analytics that support mail campaigns
