How to register
Easily register your Picture Permit Indicia (PPI) in Business Customer Gateway (BCG). The process is designed to register for PPI, submit your customized PPI design mailpiece and allow for a quick review process to begin entering your mailpieces into the USPS mailstream.

You can customize your permit indicia by incorporating a corporate logo, brand images, or trademarks along with required information. This provides immediate recognition of your company's logo, products and brands, which could improve the effectiveness of the overall mailing.

Requirements

- Nominal per piece fee in addition to postage
- Application, design approval, and sampling in advance
This offering is available for First-Class Mail® automation letters and cards and USPS Marketing Mail® automation letters. The extra fee for Picture Permit First-Class Mail letters and cards is 1 cent per piece and for USPS Marketing Mail® letters, the fee is 2 cents per piece.
A mailer is authorized to mail material without affixing postage when payment is made at the time of mailing from a permit imprint (indicia) advance deposit account established with the USPS for that purpose.
Picture Permit Imprint Indicia standards allow organizations to include business-related color images, such as their organization logos, organization brand or trademarks in the permit indicia area on automation First-Class Mail® letters and postcards, and USPS Marketing Mail® letters, for a per-piece fee in addition to postage.
