DPV®

The DPV® Product identifies whether a ZIP + 4® coded address is currently represented in the USPS® delivery file as a known address record. It also allows users to confirm known USPS addresses, as well as, identify potential addressing issues that may hinder delivery.

Description

Correcting potential addressing issues can reduce the amount of undeliverable-as-addressed (UAA) pieces, which in turn will result in more efficient mail processing and delivery. The DPV® Product identifies whether a ZIP + 4® coded address is currently represented in the USPS® delivery file as a known address record. The DPV® Product allows users to confirm known USPS® addresses as well as identify potential addressing issues that may hinder delivery.

What does DPV® do?

The DPV® Product confirms that:

  • The known address has verifiable primary and secondary data.
  • The known address has verifiable primary but not secondary data.
  • The address cannot be verified as a known address.

The DPV® Product does not append any missing data or correct any address elements.

To become a licensed DPV® provider, applicant must be or in the process of becoming a CASS™ software manufacturer.

Annual License Fee: $15,800.00*

* The initial licensing year is prorated.

What's next?

Once you have decided to apply to become a DPV® licensee, the next step is to complete the certification process. The process includes the completion of the following documentation:

  • Self-Certification Survey
  • Key Personnel Listing
  • Equipment/Software Product Information

Upon completion of these documents, the license must be executed, including the payment of licensing fees.
