Being Listed in the USPS Printer Directory

The United States Postal Service® (USPS®) Printer Directory is a national listing of "brick and mortar" printers and mail service providers that print mailpieces according to USPS Domestic Mail Manual (DDM) standards.

PRINTER DIRECTORY CRITERIA

General Requirements for participation by vendors:

Each individual store must:

  • Have a physical brick and mortar retail location that serves customers in person

    • Online-only companies will not be considered

  • Have been in business at that location for at least one year

  • Have provided EDDM to customers for at least one year however:

    • If EDDM has been offered for less than one year then proof of performance is required and a scan of an executed Postage Statement from an order entered within the preceding 12 months must be attached to application.

  • Maintain an active website that contains the following information:

    • Every Door Direct Mail promotion or reference

    • The address of the physical storefront location

  • Have a unique CRID at the time of registration.

  • Sign and return a Click-Wrap agreement.

  • Use mail entry at retail (local Post Office) or BMEU (mail processing facility)

Required Services Offered to Customers

  • Experience providing and managing EDDM (required)

  • Print production of mailpieces that meet DMM requirements (required)

  • Mail Preparation and Mail Entry capability for EDDM and/or Direct Mail product (required)

    • Retail – Local Post Office

    • BMEU – Processing Facility

Other services that may be provided and will be shown in the listing are:

  • Creative – Mailpiece design services

  • Mailing List Management

  • Direct Mail

Review Process

Decisions regarding participation are made in the sole discretion of the Postal Service based on an applicant’s submitted information. Additional supplemental information may be requested in order to finalize a decision. US Postal Service has the exclusive authority to permit or deny participation in this program to any franchisee or entity. The Postal Service reserves all rights to modify or change any content on the printer directory.

Any proprietary information should be properly identified and marked as such. Supplementary financial information, if requested, should be uploaded in the USPS Printer Directory Program Registration App when prompted.

Any information provided in response to this request will not be returned. Any and all responses are voluntary and US Postal Service will not pay for any information submitted in response to this request.

Only electronic submissions will be accepted through the USPS Printer Directory Program Registration App. Uploaded documents should include reference to the "USPS Printer Directory" and submitting organization's name in the subject line. Attachment size should not exceed 3MB and only the following document types will be accepted (.doc, .docx, .pdf).
